Hosts and judges Alex Guarnaschelli and Gabe Bertaccini welcome 10 talented chefs to Ciao House, where they will live together in a beautiful Tuscan villa and be tested like never before on their proficiency with Italian cuisine. Two chefs receive a huge advantage going into the next round, and one chef must say "Ciao Ciao" to the villa.
Do As the Nonnas Do
Alex Guarnaschelli and Gabe Bertaccini introduce the nine remaining chefs to authentic Italian nonnas, who showcase how to make handmade pasta from scratch. Tempers flare during a team-based pasta challenge, and the losing team must vote to send home one of their own.
Girls vs. Boys
The eight remaining chefs travel to a famed Tuscan vineyard where judges Alex Guarnaschelli and Gabe Bertaccini challenge them to create a three-course restaurant-style menu incorporating truffles and wine pairings. Alliances form and personalities grate, and one more chef must leave the villa.
Where There's Smoke, There's Fire
The seven chefs meet a butcher whose family business is over three centuries old! Alex Guarnaschelli and Gabe Bertaccini challenge the two teams to create a menu based around the prized Bistecca alla Fiorentina, which tests them like never before. Tragedy strikes, and one chef must leave the villa early.
A Bridge Too Farro
Two team captains join hosts Alex Guarnaschelli and Gabe Bertaccini on a visit to an Italian cheese cave that has been operating for over a thousand years! After an invaluable cheese tasting, the two leaders must purchase their main ingredients BEFORE they know what their challenge is, which impedes even the most successful chefs. At the end of what is their most difficult round yet, one more chef will be sent home.
Final Four
Hosts and judges Alex Guarnaschelli and Gabe Bertaccini inform the four remaining chefs that not one, but two of them will be going home at the end of this week's wild boar challenge. Only two chefs will make it to the finale and battle it out for the life-changing grand prize.
A Tuscan Redemption
The two remaining chefs' finale plans are turned upside down when hosts and judges Alex Guarnaschelli and Gabe Bertaccini invite some "familia" back to the villa for one last chance at redemption.
Last Chef Standing
Judges Alex Guarnaschelli and Gabe Bertaccini preside over a cooking duel to see which previously eliminated chef will earn a spot in the finale. The winner will join the other two finalists to cook one last meal, knowing a life-changing prize is within their reach -- an immersive culinary education across Italy to train with renowned master chefs.
